Ivan A. Friedrich, M.D.

Dr. Friedrich trained in Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, and Liver Diseases at the Mt. Sinai Hospital and Medical Center (NYC) and the Veteran’s Administration Hospital (The Bronx, NYC). After completing his training in NYC, he worked on Advanced Endoscopic procedures with world experts in Europe. He is Board Certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.
His Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine practice is in Englewood, NJ with hospital privileges at Englewood, Holy Name and Hackensack Hospitals. Dr. Friedrich is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and a published author in the Journal of the American College of Gastroenterology. He is a past president of the N.J. Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Society, 1997 to 1998.
Dr. Friedrich has been named as a Castle and Connolly “Top Doctor” in the N.Y. metropolitan area for the last 10 years and has been honored with citations in New York Magazine and Inside Jersey Magazine Top Docs, 2010 to 2011.
His particular interests include colon cancer screening, treatment of abdominal and liver disorders, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s Disease, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Our group is committed to providing excellent and compassionate care in our state-of-the-art Digestive Diseases Center.
