Mark S. Sapienza, M.D.

Mark Sapienza is a Board Certified Internist and Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist. As a gastroenterologist he cares for all patients with GI disorders but specializes in ERCP, BRAVO ph testing and the care of patients with all forms of liver disease.
He earned his bachelors degree at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA and his Doctorate at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his internship, residency and fellowship training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
In 2002 Dr. Sapienza joined Englewood Endoscopic Associates and the physician staff at both Englewood Hospital and Holy Name Hospital. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He served as President of the New Jersey Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Society from 2007 to 2008 and was recognized as a TOP DOCTOR in NJ Monthly’s November 2008 issue. He is currently Associate Chief of GI at Englewood Hospital.
